Duties
- Focusing exclusively on furniture and sofa upholstery. Please note: This position does not involve carpet cleaning
- Understanding Upholstery Fabric Cleaning Codes,
- w/ Water Base, S/ Solvent Base W/S Water and Solvent base claeaner,X vaccum or brush only
- Perform thorough cleaning of upholstery, and fabric surfaces using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions, sofas, chairs, etc, made with different materials.
- Interpret technical drawings or specifications to accurately cut fabric or upholstery materials to size
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or large items to ensure efficient service delivery
- Conduct manual cutting (fabric cutting) and sewing tasks to repair or customize upholstery pieces
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including before-and-after photos and service logs
- Follow safety protocols during manual handling and use of power tools to prevent injuriesQualifications
- Proven experience in upholstery, or related manufacturing fields with a focus on attention to detail
- Skilled in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools, sewing machines, and interpreting technical drawings
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and manual cutting with precision
- Knowledge of auto restoration or furniture manufacturing processes is a plus
- Strong sewing skills for fabric repairs and upholstery customization
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish for effective customer interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality
