Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions quickly and accurately
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock merchandise as needed, and assist with merchandising efforts
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features or new items to customers
- Support stocking activities and ensure shelves are replenished for a seamless shopping experience
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations is beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
