American Traveler is seeking an experienced Float Pool RN with telemetry expertise for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active MA RN license, AHA certifications, and willingness to float across 8 different units.

Float Pool position requiring rotation across 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow)

Patient population includes ED border patients, acute mental health unit (medication nurse role), and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients

Patient ratios: up to 5:1 on Days and Evenings; up to 6:1 on Nights

Schedule is a Day/Evening rotation with 1 to 3 Night shifts per contract, working every other weekend (EOW), 36 hours per week

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, administering cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips every 4 hours

TR Band experience required

EMR: Epic (charting system)

Hospital is a 371-bed facility; individual units range from 8 to 41 beds

Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required (AHA only; Red Cross and other providers not accepted at this facility)

Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience in a single location required

Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips

Experience with cardiac drips and TR Band required

2 references required for consideration

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

Candidates must be willing and able to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units per assignment

Epic is used for charting; familiarity with the system is expected

Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos

Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply

2 years of telemetry experience is preferred
