Role description:
The Internal Sales Consultant will work in partnership with the Regional Directors and will focus on all private markets opportunities in the private wealth channel within the respective regions in conjunction with their generalist counterparts.
They will focus primarily on call campaigns, meetings, and additional virtual mediums to help Regional Directors build their businesses and increase AUM. They will strategically manage their territory by providing insight, advice, practice management ideas and product updates to registered representatives.
Key responsibilities of the Internal Sales Consultant include:
- Work in partnership with specified Regional Directors to develop and maintain relationships across private wealth channel within the respective regions in order to drive sales and AUM growth
- Assist in developing and implementing business plan to manage territories in most efficient and impactful manner, including ongoing management of sales pipeline and utilizing data/analytics to facilitate target marketing
- Must have research and analytical capabilities; research competitor products, gain a high proficiency in those products, and understand how those products will interact with the overall composition of our clients’ portfolios
- Efficiently utilize analytic tools to supplement presentations with financial advisors
- Maintain constant and open communication with Regional Directors to ensure maintenance of daily activities and meeting/call notes in CRM
- Generate and maintain continuous touchpoints by email, phone, and in-person with clients to build rapport, trust, and connectivity; assist with client service inquiries and requests, including leading update calls
- Develop consultative relationships with the targeted financial institutions and drive revenue within their region
- Participate in internal roundtable discussions and feedback sessions, increasing industry knowledge and product expertise
Skills and experience we are looking for:
At least 3 years of relevant sales experience within the private markets space and existing relationships with clients, including relevant experience in selling products in the private markets / alternatives universe.
- 3+ years of sales experience within private markets with a strong proficiency in both the issues they face and industry trends more generally
- Comprehensive understanding of financial investment strategies, including a depth of expertise across alternative assets classes in both private and registered structures (interval funds, BDCs, REITs)
- Demonstrated track record of success raising assets and increasing market presence within the private markets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize targets and handle a busy calendar of client meetings
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, being comfortable in a small team, highly entrepreneurial environment – team players who contribute to a thriving team culture
- Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced, high-activity environment, with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Economics, Finance, or related field
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 required
- CAIA/CFA/CIMA preferred

- base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
