Responsibilities
- Assist patients or residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all findings in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems)
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support
- Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe patient transfers and prevent injury
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infections
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers to deliver seamless patient service
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) with current licensure in the applicable state
- Experience working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification required
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers
- Compassionate caregiving skills with experience supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to medical records and patient information

Additional Direct Care Worker pay on top of base pay: $3.40/hr.
Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
