Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper that has experience in the construction industry.to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles. This role requires a strong understanding of financial software, accounting practices, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, general ledger, and financial statements.
- Utilize accounting software, including Accountmate and QuickBooks, to manage financial transactions and reporting.
- Prepare sales tax return. payroll tax returns and truck returns.
- Prepare tax inquiries as needed.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and other financial records.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Prepare weekly payroll
- Responsible for all aspects of trucks-including registrations, renewal, overweights and all insurances
- Must maintain all employee driver files
- Working knowledge of corporate tax projection
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in public accounting or a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting software, particularly QuickBooks.
- Experience with tax preparation and compliance is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
