Job Description
DCR Crane, LLC is looking for a skilled Technician to maintain and repair cranes and tractor/trailers. Applicants must be willing to work overtime and travel up to 50% of the time. Pay is dependent upon skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Understands and follows alignment procedures for aligning shafts, couplings or other similar items
- Troubleshoots hydraulic system on mobile cranes
- Submits proper documentation for ordering material and parts
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Must have a knowledge and ability to properly adjust and repair crane brake systems
- Test operates cranes to verify proper operations
- Understands industry safe work practices
- Repairs electro-mechanical equipment if needed
- Repairs and maintains cranes, vertical transportation equipment (VTE) such as lifts, and trackage, and elevators using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments
- Able to plan and schedule work and resources, ordering parts and report
Qualifications
- Ability to perform task independently without direct supervision
- Safe work habits and history
- Willingness to travel to various job sites
- A minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician
- Demonstrate competency in the diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile cranes
- Experience in preventative maintenance (oil changes) and light equipment repair (break jobs)
