GTI Trucking is seeking reliable and professional Independent Contractor Drivers to join our growing transportation network. We provide [same-day delivery / courier / medical courier / final-mile delivery / freight transportation] services throughout Michigan and nearby states. As an Independent Contractor Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting [packages, medical supplies, freight, documents, retail goods, etc.] while maintaining high service standards and meeting delivery deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your vehicle to complete assigned delivery routes and transportation services.
- Pick up and deliver [packages, freight, medical specimens, pharmacy items, documents, etc.] accurately and on time.
- Follow all company procedures, client requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure your vehicle remains safe and roadworthy.
- Load and unload cargo as required while following proper handling procedures.
- Utilize GPS, routing software, and mobile applications to manage deliveries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and proof-of-delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Represent GTI Trucking professionally during all customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery, courier, logistics, transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to pass background screening and motor vehicle record review, if required.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to lift up to [Weight Requirement] pounds, if applicable.
- Smartphone with reliable internet access for route management and communication.
- Reliable vehicle suitable for delivery operations.
Vehicle Requirements
