Job Summary:
Under general supervision, troubleshoots, performs maintenance, some repairs and calibration on various mechanical, HVAC, auto service equipment, overhead door, commercial building systems, and their electrical, plumbing, and architectural components.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties as assigned)

Inspect and examine heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning, air compressors, and all auxiliary equipment to determine defects in operations.

Troubleshoot and take corrective action for major malfunction and breakdowns of heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning systems pumps, air handlers, fans ducts, dampers and grills.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, shop drawings and technical manuals.
-
Repair and adjust pneumatic controls, lines and fittings, change filters and belts, lubricate and oil equipment according to manufactures specification and industry standards for various automotive shop equipment.

Adheres to a preventive maintenance schedule for air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, auto service compressors and other related equipment, troubleshoot malfunctioning systems or equipment.

Cleans coils and other parts, oils fans, changes filters.

May order parts and supplies as needed; perform related work on all related and auxiliary HVAC systems and other building components.

Determines parts and equipment needed for maintenance and repair work. fabricates, erects, and maintains sheet metal duct work; tests, calibrates, and repairs thermostats is a plus.

Ability to repair or replace condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts and other parts is also a plus.

A general knowledge of automotive equipment is preferred, plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry is needed.

Experience with commercial overhead door installation, repair and operator programming is a plus.

Experience with 3 phase commercial electrical systems a plus

Forklift Certification a plus

May be required to assist in facility emergencies after hours (but compensated for time).

Basic hand tools required, other tools provided as needed.

Required Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or /GED
Four years of increasing responsible experience performing work in installing, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding non-residential refrigeration and air conditioning systems and related equipment.

Computer software: Microsoft Office to include Word, and Outlook. Excel and CDK a plus.
Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
Physical Exertion:

Performs physically demanding work that requires bending, stooping, squatting, lifting up to 50 lbs., working in close quarters, climbing ladders, reaching overhead to make repairs and perform certain tasks including using power and pneumatic tools, and sufficient manual dexterity and vision to perform maintenance and repairs on heating and cooling equipment
Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed in a dealership setting (lot, showroom, service department and offices).

Occasional weekend and evening hours are required.

Safety Precautions: Breaks are encouraged to allow for stretching and training is provided covering slips, trips, and falls, safe lifting and stretching techniques.
