Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in a life skills or self-contained setting
- Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction for a caseload of seven elementary-aged students within a dedicated life skills classroom
- Develop tailored lesson plans and adapt curriculum to meet each learner’s unique needs and abilities
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to maximize growth
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure all services are in compliance with regulations and best practices
