We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LMHC to join our team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges by providing direct care, facilitating therapeutic activities, and assisting in crisis intervention. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties
- Provide direct support and care to patients in a private practice setting.
- Conduct patient intake processes, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed professionals, utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis management.
- Assist in crisis intervention and behavior management strategies for patients experiencing acute distress.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Engage in clinical research activities as needed, contributing to data collection and analysis for ongoing improvement of services.
- Support families through child & family counseling sessions and provide resources for ongoing care.
Requirements
- Experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred, particularly with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and grief counseling.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems is essential for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles including applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Previous private practice or clinic experience is highly desirable; telehealth experience is a plus.
- A background in mental health counseling is beneficial for this role.
