Duties
- Administer IV infusions, including hydration, medication delivery, and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin injections and other ophthalmology-related procedures
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and detailed medical documentation using EMR .
- Ensure aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent infection and maintain sterile field standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on complex cases involving critical care, trauma medicine, or acute pain management
- Educate patients on post-infusion care, medication administration, and health coaching to promote wellness and recovery
- Manage emergency situations with airway management skills, basic life support certification, and rapid response protocols
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and adhere to infection control standards during all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state registration and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Proven experience in IV infusion therapy, including working with patients requiring complex medications or hydration treatments
- Experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to infusion therapy and patient assessment
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple patient cases across various community settings
- Strong communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient care and education
