Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development
-
Prior administrative experience strongly preferred
-
Proven record of putting the interest of children and learning first
-
Ability to guide staff in professional growth and effectively evaluate their performance
-
Knowledge of LARA rules and regulations related to early childhood education
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Passion for early childhood education
Responsibilities & Duties:

Oversee the daily operations and administration of the preschool program and before and after school care
-
Recruitment, supervision, and retention of preschool and before and after school care staff
-
Maintain preschool compliance with LARA rules and regulations
-
Facilitate enrollment process
-
Liaison for Head Start and Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)

Advertising and promotion of Preschool and Community Education classes/programs
-
Oversee Community Education classes/programs
-
Prepare and deliver Welcome Kits to families within WUS boundaries and communicate about the GSRP

Leverage partnerships with community organizations
-
Manage budgets and grants for the various programs and grants
-
Make referrals to Early On/Special Education Services as needed
