Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience working with students requiring specialized instruction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Knowledge of IEP development, behavioral interventions, and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, adapt, and deliver engaging instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams and families
- Assess student strengths and challenges, maintaining accurate records to monitor progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Address behavioral and academic needs with proactive strategies and positive reinforcement
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education services
