Key Responsibilities
- Develop in‑depth knowledge of SOTAX instruments and software
- Perform new instrument and software installations
- Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation services
- Provide customer instrument and software training
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex laboratory automation equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and precision instrument calibrations
- Manage spare parts and calibration equipment
- Coordinate directly with customers to schedule service visits
- Book required travel and maintain an up‑to‑date service schedule
- Submit weekly expense reports and service documentation
- Maintain regular communication with service leadership
- Identify and communicate potential sales or service opportunities
Qualifications
- Education or background in Chemistry or Electromechanical technology/engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred)
- GMP documentation experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Instrument calibration or service experience (a plus)
- Comfortable using hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time
