WhatYou’llDo
As a Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation support to expectant and new parents across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll educate families on breastfeeding, help resolve feeding challenges, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and community resources to promote positive maternal and infant outcomes. In addition to direct patient care, you'll serve as a trusted breastfeeding resource for hospital staff, oversee breast pump rentals and retail services, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance the overall patient experience.

Connect families with community resources, including WIC, private lactation consultants, and support groups.

You excel at educating, coaching, and building confidence in parents while using strong clinical judgment to address breastfeeding challenges with empathy and professionalism. Your collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure allow you to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and connect families with the resources they need for long-term success. Organized, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement, you are passionate about promoting positive maternal and infant health outcomes through education and evidence-based care.
Required Qualifications
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively support patients, families, physicians, and healthcare teams.
