HVAC Residential Sales Manager: New Division Lead
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and highly driven HVAC Residential Sales Manager with a formidable track record in HVAC sales to help launch and build our brand-new residential HVAC division. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands the psychology of residential sales, knows how to overcome homeowner objections, and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to run service calls while laying the groundwork for a new team.
The Role: A dynamic blend of division management, high-level residential sales, and hands-on field service. Initially, you will frequently run calls as a field technician—leveraging routine tune-ups and system checks as your primary lead source—to establish our customer base, build trust with homeowners, and close deals. As the division scales, you will transition more into a full-time management and sales-training focus.
The Pay: $80,000 - $150,000 per year. We offer a competitive base plus commission/bonus structure—your sales acumen, closing rates, and ability to grow the division directly dictate your earning potential.
The Requirement: A serious, verifiable background in residential HVAC sales is mandatory, along with prior experience in service and team leadership. You must be a proven closer who is also a fully capable technician willing to turn wrenches while the division gets off the ground. No entry-level applicants, please.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Convert routine maintenance calls, tune-ups, and system checks into high-ticket sales and system replacement opportunities through consultative education.
- Drive residential sales, provide accurate high-ticket estimates, navigate homeowner objections, and consistently close new business.
- Spearhead the launch, strategy, and growth of the new Residential HVAC division.
- Perform hands-on residential HVAC service, diagnostics, and installations (heavily required during the initial launch phase).
- Perform all work in a safe manner.
- Be responsible for overall customer satisfaction with regards to communication, workmanship, and quality.
- Recruit, train, and mentor future residential technicians on proven sales methodologies as the division scales.
- Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.
- Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation of all product.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required

- Ability to operate a mobile device / tablet (experience with field management software like ServiceTitan is a plus)
