American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a seasonal PACU travel assignment requiring at least one year of recent acute care hospital PACU experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Work in the Recovery Room / PACU unit of a hospital setting
-
30-bed unit with day shift staffing of 1 charge nurse and 12 nurses
-
Night shift typically staffed with 2 RNs, sometimes on-call rather than scheduled
-
Patient ratios of 1 RN:2 patients or 1 RN:1 patient depending on acuity
-
Common procedures include craniotomies and orthopedic surgeries

Uses Meditech EMR
-
13-week assignment with a 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM shift schedule

On-call required with a 30-minute response time when on call
-
Active KS or compact RN license required
-
BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience required

Prior Meditech experience preferred

Flexibility with hours preferred

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients, including those recovering from craniotomies and orthopedic procedures

Candidates should have a great attitude, remain calm under stress, and prioritize patient experience

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
