Duties
- Assist with the safe removal of grease, debris, and buildup from kitchen exhaust ducts using appropriate hand tools and cleaning equipment.
- Support the use of ladders and scaffolding to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely.
- Operate pressure washers and other industrial cleaning tools to thoroughly clean ductwork and exhaust hoods.
- Follow strict safety protocols including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, and fire extinguishers during all cleaning activities.
- Participate in manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of equipment or parts to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
- Conduct outdoor work at various commercial kitchen sites, adhering to safety standards and environmental guidelines.
- Assist with the application of floor buffing techniques post-cleaning to maintain a spotless work environment.
- Support team members in performing duct cleaning, outdoor cleaning tasks, and ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Follow detailed safety procedures during all tasks, including fire safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Familiarity with ladder use, hand tools, pressure washing equipment, and industrial cleaning techniques is advantageous.
- Experience working outdoors or on construction sites helps in adapting quickly to various environments.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence, including PPE usage and fire extinguisher operation, is highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks efficiently is essential.
- Customer service skills are a plus for interacting professionally with clients on-site.
