We are a boutique and well known design firm specializing in luxury residential design. Many of our projects are new construction and we design the project from the ground up. Our clients expect a level of service that goes above and beyond. While many days will be on a 9-5 schedule, certain stages of the project may require working after hours/weekends. It is critical for the applicant to understand this and know that during slower times, the schedule will be more flexible. The overall scope of this position is to manage the furniture phase of assigned design projects. You will be accountable for project management from selection to installation. This includes communicating with the team, clients, and vendors assuring 100% accuracy and completeness in design intent, selections and presentations, and project execution, according to the timeline, budget and scope of work.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee preselection of soft goods for client projects based on the design concept/plans/budget/style
- Attend client meetings to select fixtures, furnishings, fabrics, lighting, hardware and accessories and to get client approval of items chosen
- Create master list & furniture budget
- Create and present all selections to clients via presentation package
- Draft all selected items and sizes in plans accurately to reflect proportions
- Responsible for reviewing quotes to make sure that all sizes and finishes are accurately quoted and purchased
- Verify all sizes on site prior to purchase
- Provide Purchasing with specifications to be quoted
- Coordinate decorative installers and oversee work progress
- Obtain specs, pricing and quotes for items if needed to be approved by client
- Review & approve documents needed to complete orders: shop drawings, CFAs, finish samples, etc.
- Review Status Report and make sure all details on custom orders have been selected and communicated to vendors
- Advise when items are out of stock, have inappropriate lead times, or need to be re-selected. Prepare re-selections for approval
- Facilitate installation of completed items. Responsible to be on site to ensure design intent is carried out and report damage when needed
- Responsible for making sure all items are delivered and installed until project is 100% complete.
Requirements
- Luxury Residential Interior Design experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, in Interior Design preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- AutoCAD
- Adobe Photoshop
- SketchUp
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to multi-task with time management skills
- Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve creatively and effectively
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Must have a car with valid driver’s license, clean driving record and insurance
- Pro-active, positive attitude with eagerness to grow professionally and work within a small team

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
