SUMMARY:
SMI Properties is seeking a reliable and productive Golf Cart Technician to support the operations of Kevin Harvick Golf Carts. As a growing dealership specializing in new and used golf cart sales, rentals, service, and customizations, we take pride in delivering exceptional products and customer experiences. This position offers the opportunity to work on today's leading gas and electric golf cart platforms, including advanced lithium battery systems, while contributing to custom builds, preventative maintenance, repairs, and dealership operations. JOB DUTIES:

Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, and routine service on gas and electric golf carts.

Install accessories and complete golf cart customizations including lift kits, wheels, lighting, rear seats, enclosures, and other upgrades.

Prepare new and used golf carts for sale, rental, and customer delivery by performing inspections, testing, cleaning, and quality control checks.

Safely load, secure, transport, and unload golf carts using company trucks and trailers.

Deliver and retrieve golf carts while providing professional customer service.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service shop, dealership, and work environment.

Assist with parts inventory, organization, and maintaining accurate service documentation.

Safely operate equipment including golf carts, pickup trucks, trailers, pressure washers, generators, and other shop equipment.

Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and established service standards.

Support dealership operations, rental activities, and special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

18+ years of age and ability to obtain a DOT medical card, as required for driving company vehicles.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing small engines, powersports equipment, golf carts, or similar equipment.

Experience servicing gas and electric golf carts, including lithium battery systems, preferred.

Golf cart customization experience, manufacturer certifications, or related technical training preferred.

Ability to safely operate pickup trucks and tow trailers; prior trailering experience preferred.

Proficiency with hand and power tools and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Basic computer skills, including e-mail, Microsoft Excel, tablets, and web-based applications.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, grease, and varying temperatures.

Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
