Job Summary
CFA Staffing is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Quality Auditors to join our team in Lafayette, IN. This is a hands-on manufacturing position supporting quality, safety, and production goals within an engine assembly environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and measuring equipment, and able to follow detailed work instructions, engineering prints, and factory procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections and audits throughout the engine assembly process.
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, gauges, measuring devices, and specialized torque equipment.
- Operate electrical testing equipment and other specialized inspection tools.
- Safely operate fork trucks/reach trucks and work with lifting devices and cranes.
- Manipulate engine components during the assembly process.
- Learn and apply technical aspects of engine assembly.
- Troubleshoot and assist with repair of in-process engines.
- Read and interpret standard work instructions, engineering prints, and factory paperwork.
- Use computer systems and Microsoft Office applications to document and communicate information.
- Support department safety, quality, productivity, and production goals.
- Follow all established safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work overtime as needed to support production requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of forklift/reach-truck experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn engine assembly processes.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and technical documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime as needed.
- Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
