Job Description
Ivy Educational Services is seeking passionate and knowledgeable High School Math and English Instructors to join our growing team.
The ideal candidates are enthusiastic educators who enjoy working with high school students and helping them succeed academically. Instructors will work with students in one-on-one or small-group settings, providing personalized instruction for school coursework, SAT preparation, and overall academic development.
Math Instructor
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching:
- Algebra I & II
- Geometry
- Pre-Calculus
- SAT Math concepts and test-taking strategies
English Instructor
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching:
- Reading Comprehension
- Essay Writing
- Grammar and Vocabulary
- SAT Reading & Writing preparation
Responsibilities
- Teach high school Math or English in one-on-one and small-group settings
- Develop customized lesson plans based on each student's academic goals and learning needs
- Prepare students for high school coursework, SAT, and other standardized tests
- Strengthen students' critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
- Foster a positive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment
- Stay current with curriculum standards and SAT exam updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, English, English Education, Education, or a related field (or equivalent teaching experience)
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience with high school students
- SAT, ACT, AP, or other standardized test preparation experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning styles
- Excellent organizational and classroom management skills
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
