Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Water Well Pump Rig Operator where you'll play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water well systems. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors on diverse construction sites, utilizing heavy equipment and advanced technical skills to ensure efficient water system operations. As a key contributor, you'll operate pump rigs and support equipment, adhering to safety protocols while delivering high-quality service in the energy and utilities sector.
Duties
- Operate pump rigs and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Install, remove, troubleshoot, and repair submersible pumps.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with pumping systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Read work orders and communicate with customers professionally.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and job documentation.
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Travel to job sites throughout New Mexico as needed.
Requirements
- Experience operating a water well pump rig preferred.
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Preferred Experience
- Water well pump installation and repair
- Electrical controls and motors
- Crane or hoist operation
- Welding or fabrication experience (a plus)
