Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant’s hospitality.
- Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems.
- Coordinate seating arrangements and waitlist management to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain clear communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Assist with guest services by addressing inquiries, accommodating special requests, and resolving concerns promptly.
- Keep the host/hostess station organized and ensure adherence to food safety standards and hygiene protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a restaurant setting.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Experience with phone communication and etiquette to provide clear information and friendly assistance.
Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per week
