Pay: on-target earnings of $50,000 to $65,000 a year for full time - a guaranteed $18/hr base plus uncapped commission on every shed you sell. Selling at our plan's pace puts you in that range, strong months pay a higher commission rate, and your actual pay depends on what you sell. We're hiring full-time and part-time - same W-2 base and commission. Currently, health insurance is not available through the company.
The work: you run our Uniontown lot in the Hartville area. People stop by or call looking for a shed - you help them pick the right one, build their quote, write up the order, and collect the deposit.
A typical day:
- Greet walk-ins, answer calls, and follow up on every lead
- Walk customers through sizes, styles, and options and build their quote
- Log every lead in our CRM and route bigger jobs (pole barns, garages, custom buildings) to our specialists - there's a bonus for you when a job you sent closes
- Post on social media to bring buyers to your lot
- Build partnerships in the community you serve - local connections grow your lot's business
- Keep the lot clean and show-ready
You'll do well here if you enjoy people, follow up reliably, and are on the lot when it's open. Weekend availability is required - Saturdays are our busiest sales days. We're glad to talk through a reasonable schedule accommodation if you need one. No shed experience needed - we train you. Sales, retail, or building-trades background is a plus. No degree required.
Dutch Barn Builders has been building sheds, garages, cabins, and barns in this region for 50 years. We are a family-owned, faith-based company, and our lots are closed on Sundays. A steady local company and a steady local lot with real walk-in traffic.
