Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Babysitter/Nanny to provide exceptional care for 4 children (ages 5,7,8&11) in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience toddlers and school-aged children, and possess the skills necessary to engage them in educational and fun activities. Lighthouse keeping may be needed from time to time (laundry, sweeping, mopping) This position will be mostly for date nights and some weekends and school holiday breaks. Additional compensation will be offered for occasional 3-4 day stays if mom needs to go on a business trip. Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, educational games, and outdoor activities
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns that may arise.
- Implement safety protocols and first aid procedures when necessary to ensure the health and safety of all children.
Requirements
- Proven experience in babysitting or nannying, with references available upon request.
- Knowledge of first aid practices; certification is a plus.
- Experience in preschool or daycare settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to cook healthy meals suitable for children.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children of all ages.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanor in various situations.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of working parents.
