POSITION SUMMARY
Instructors will provide professional military education instruction supporting the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy’s (NCOA) distance learning program. Upon hiring, instructors will be required to complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements to be identified by the Air Force Global College (AFGC) and NCOA. The AFGC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and provides competent contractor and government faculty qualified to accomplish the organization’s goals and mission.
PROFESSIONAL (OPERATIONAL) QUALIFICATIONS
- Former or retired US Air Force or other service non-commissioned officer in the rank of E-6 or higher. Former or retired officers with non-commissioned officer experience and who meet other qualifications below are welcome to apply.
Graduate of the Non-Commissioned Officers Academy or sister-service PME equivalent.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree minimum (master's degree preferred) in or higher in Leadership, Management, Political Science, or a closely related field.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Relevant professional US Air Force operational experience such as leading teams during deployment or leading teams in operational environments.
- Knowledge of military strategy, Air Force and Joint warfighting doctrine, and the military culture.
- Prior online teaching experience (military or civilian) is a strong plus.
Preferred successful completion of initial faculty development and any other additional requirement identified by Air Force Global College.
Other considerations:
Prior Enlisted Officers may be permitted to instruct upon retirement or separation from service. Active-duty Officers are not permitted to teach within the program, regardless of prior Enlisted experience.
