McKnight Steel & Tube Co., a well-established metal service center serving the regional manufacturing and metalworking marketplace, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class B Delivery Driver to join our team.

Pay
Starting at $27.00 per hour

Schedule
- Full-time position
- Typical start time: 5:00 AM – 5:30 AM
- Average 45–50 hours per week
- Home every day
- Local and regional deliveries only
Equipment
Drivers operate:
- Freightliner M2 straight trucks
- 33,000 GVW
- 26-foot stake body flatbeds
- Automatic transmissions
- Air-conditioned cabs
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company CDL vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Deliver steel tubing, pipe, structural steel, and other metal products to customers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Conduct thorough load checks before departure.
- Properly secure all loads using straps, stakes, and other securement devices.
- Ensure loads remain safe and secure throughout transportation.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes.
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with office staff and customers regarding delivery status.
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B License (Class A also accepted).
- Clean driving record.
- Delivery driving experience preferred.
- Flatbed experience preferred.
- Experience securing loads preferred.
- Ability to safely handle steel and metal products.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- High School Diploma or GED.
