Job Title: Warehouse Dispatcher

Summary
In the Warehouse Dispatcher position, you will oversee the LesserEvil fleet of trucks as well as all trucks arriving in our lot to make a pickup. Your daily activities will be focused on maintaining parking lot organization and ensuring the LesserEvil fleet is moving efficiently to prevent costly factory shutdowns.
Role/Responsibilities
- Learn all LesserEvil transportation team duties such as truck swapping, transfers, pickups, etc.
- Using available tools and software, keep track of the LesserEvil fleet.
- Coordinate movement of LesserEvil trucks to serve immediate company needs.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all other facilities in regards to transportation needs, and ensure raw materials and finished goods are moving efficiently through our network.
- Maintain shipping dock and parking lot organization for all trucks making pickups in order to avoid confusion and prevent lot congestion.
- Work with drivers making pickups to get BOLs signed and affix truck seals when necessary.
- Instruct arriving drivers where to wait in the lot or, if necessary, to vacate the lot and wait at another location.
- Being a proactive planner capable of scheduling the efficient movement of the fleet 24 to 48 hours in advance of expected needs.
- Upholding LesserEvil’s safety standards and making sure all operational guidelines are met.
- Identifying areas of improvement and suggesting solutions to maximize the efficiency in our processes.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of warehouse and/or logistics experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to collaborate with different departments
- Proficient with Gmail, Excel and/or Google Sheets, preferred
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Able to bend, lift, pull.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Able to spend long periods of time sitting and working on a computer.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office may be necessary.
- Able to climb up on trucks and trailers when necessary.
- Comfortable working outside despite heat, cold, or inclement weather.
