Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate / Backup Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is primarily warehouse-based (approximately 90% of the role) and supports daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and loading/unloading products.
The remaining portion of the role (approximately 10%) involves serving as a backup delivery driver when needed. Candidates must be comfortable driving a company delivery truck and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties (Approximately 90%)
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment or delivery.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (cherry picker truck experience is a plus).
- Support team members with general warehouse tasks as needed.
Backup Delivery Driver Duties (Approximately 10%)
- Make local deliveries using a company box truck or delivery truck when assigned.
- Load and secure products for safe transportation.
- Deliver orders accurately and professionally.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and complete required paperwork.
- Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies, as applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a company delivery truck (CDL not required).
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Delivery driving experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Must be eligible to drive under the company's insurance policy.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and outdoors as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Occasional overtime may be required.
Please note: This is primarily a warehouse position. However, flexibility is essential, as all team members are expected to assist with deliveries when business needs require. Candidates must be willing and able to perform both warehouse and driving responsibilities.
