American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Boston, MA, requiring scrub experience and competency across multiple surgical services at a Level 1 trauma center.

Hospital-based OR setting with 17 operating rooms staffed 24/7

Surgical services include general, GYN, GU, oral, ENT, bariatrics, orthopedics, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine

Mid-shift, 12-hour day/evening rotation totaling 36 hours per week

Day shift start time is 7:00 AM; evening shift start times are 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM

Every 3rd weekend required as needed

Every other holiday required
-
On-call required once per schedule

May float to a secondary OR unit as needed

Active MA RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of inpatient OR experience required

Scrub experience required
-
Competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical services required

Level 1 trauma OR experience preferred

Neuro and vascular experience preferred (beyond scrub general, GYN, and GU)

Two professional references required — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), one must be within the past 12 months and the other within the past 3 years

Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) — test may only be taken twice

Previous permanent employees of this facility are not eligible to apply as travelers

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be placed at a local bill rate
