Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Server Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in supporting our servers and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. Previous restaurant, banquet, or hotel experience is a plus, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and guest service skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain smooth service flow
- Support food preparation and delivery to ensure timely service for guests
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, kitchen stations, and service areas in accordance with health standards
- Assist with setting up banquet events and special functions as needed
- Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and payment processing
- Provide excellent guest services by responding promptly to guest needs and inquiries
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks when required
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, banquet, or hotel environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with serving techniques, bussing, and basic food preparation skills
- Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a professional appearance and demeanor
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
