Responsibilities
- Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion sizes
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Prepare ingredients through slicing, chopping, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper sanitation and food safety protocols
- Support food handling procedures in compliance with safety standards in production and service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and delivery
- Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or food service environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen equipment operation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper handling techniques
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal assembly
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
- Ability to follow safety standards in production and maintain a clean work environment
- Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and catering background is advantageous
