Overview
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, highly reliable, and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards are consistently met, and inspire your team to deliver outstanding service. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining a smooth, efficient, and organized kitchen environment that delights our guests.
The ideal candidate must have extensive culinary cooking experience and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You must possess exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and perform effectively under pressure while maintaining control of kitchen operations and the flow of food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, development, and performance feedback to foster a motivated team.
- Oversee inventory control and food management processes, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
- Coordinate shift management and staffing schedules to meet business demands efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems and manage cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus, monitor budgets, and optimize operational efficiency.
Experience - Two (2) years minium experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a hospitality or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, Shift4 a plus.
- Experience with inventory control, food safety protocols, and budgeting processes.
- Background in fine dining or casual dining settings is a plus; banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
- Skilled in staff training, team management, interviewing potential team members, and leadership development.
- Prior experience in hotel or hospitality management roles is beneficial; barista or coffee experience is a plus.
Required Certification(s)
- Must have Manager's ServSafe Certification
