Position Summary
The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for sharing the story of Fat Beet Farm across digital platforms. This role combines photography, food styling, videography, content creation, graphic design, website updates, and marketing strategy to grow our audience and strengthen our brand.
You'll spend time walking the farm capturing everyday moments, photographing fresh seasonal dishes from our café, showcasing harvests and events, and creating engaging marketing materials that reflect the beauty and mission of Fat Beet Farm.
Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
- Develop and execute a social media content calendar.
- Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Capture high-quality photography and short-form video throughout the farm.
- Photograph fresh menu items, specialty drinks, baked goods, and farm products in an appealing, on-brand style.
- Film and edit Reels, TikToks, and promotional videos.
- Write engaging captions that reflect the Fat Beet Farm brand and mission.
- Monitor comments, direct messages, and community engagement.
- Stay current on social media trends while maintaining an authentic voice.
Marketing & Design
- Design promotional materials including flyers, posters, event signage, menus, rack cards, and digital advertisements.
- Create graphics for social media, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
- Promote farm dinners, educational programs, workshops, seasonal events, and café specials.
- Assist with marketing initiatives for both Fat Beet Farm and the Fat Beet Events.
- Maintain a consistent brand identity across all print and digital materials.
Website & Digital Marketing
- Perform basic website updates including adding events, updating menus, changing photos, and refreshing content.
- Ensure website information remains accurate and current.
- Assist with blog posts and other website content as needed.
- Help optimize content for search engines (SEO) and improve the user experience.
- Track social media and website analytics and recommend strategies for continued growth.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the farm, café, and foundation teams to identify stories worth sharing.
- Attend special events to capture content and support marketing efforts.
- Help ensure all communications reflect the values and mission of Fat Beet Farm.
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization.
- Strong photography skills, including food photography and lifestyle photography.
- Experience creating and editing short-form videos for social media.
- Proficiency with Canva; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Graphic design skills for creating promotional and marketing materials.
- Comfortable making basic website updates.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a farm environment.
- Passion for agriculture, sustainability, local food, or community engagement is highly preferred.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bonus if you have knowledge and experience with culinary, agriculture, sustainability, or restaurant industry
- Experience with Meta Business Suite.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
- Drone photography or videography experience.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or food marketing.

Schedule
