JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- Associates Degree from an approved school in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Current certification iwth the National Board Certificaton of Occupational Therapy
- Current BLS certification.
Minimum Work Experience
- Zero or more years experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.

Current license with the KY Board of Occupational Therapy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Job Functions
- Performs treatment, supervision and therapy intervention accordance with KY Occupational Therapy Board Regulations.
- Performs appropriate treatment and discharge per physician orders/referral/OT plan of care.
- Completes documentation within policy time parameters. Ensures that all documentation is complete and does not require reminders and/or excessive time to complete paperwork.
- Demonstrates competency with therapy intervention modalities, adaptive equipment and manual techniques.
- Establishes a safe therapy environment and operates equipment within standard guidelines.
- Involves patient, family and team members in plan of care and provides information, teaching and education based on identified need.
- Follow policy for consent for treatment, release of medical information, confidentiality and appropriate awareness of suspected abuse and take measures to document/report them accordingly.
- Employee binder up to date with competency forms, TB skin test, mask fit test, BLS and license.
- Communicates any changes inpatient condition (physical or cognitive) to the supervising occupational therapist, nursing personnel and other facility personnel as appropriate.
- Assist with caseload management when you plan to be off and/or when caseload varies (do not seek out other areas to assist).
- Promotes a professional and positive image at all times with coworkers, patients, families and other departments.
