Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is looking for an outgoing, energetic Human Resources Director to lead, direct, plan and coordinate policies, benefits and activities of the Human Resources Department. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - 80 hours.
Reporting to this position: Human Resources Assistant and Staffing Coordinator
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of at least 3 years work experience with demonstrated success in Human Resources Management.
Knowledgeable of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning personnel administration in post-acute settings.
General knowledge of computer is required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, organized, implements, evaluates, and directs the HR Department.
Manage employees including all aspects of recruiting, hiring, and terminations. Conducts Exit Interviews.
Orients new personnel by explaining personnel policies
Responsible for payroll, Worker's Compensation, OSHA, EEOC, exclusion checks, personnel files, turnover, benefits, open enrollment for insurance and 401K, and PBJ. Completing any required reports.
Maintains and develops job descriptions.
Verifying Nursing licenses and maintains list of Nursing License with Alabama Board of Nursing and list of out of Multi-State nurses.
Process all new hire personnel information and change of status data for payroll. Arranges for pre-employment testing.
Oversee schedules and completes schedule process in absence of Staffing Coordinator.
Ensures compliance with current federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime, work hours, workers compensation, unemployment, etc.
Participates in the facility's state survey and plan of correction response.
Works beyond normal working hours including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Conduct employee background checks for new hires and monthly as required.
Leads and coordinates employee events.
Verifies C.N.A's are eligible to work in the State of Alabama.
Counsels employees on personnel and payroll problems.
