Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, and organize inventory efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using data entry systems and inventory management software.
- Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, and staging products according to shipping logistics requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound goods using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP platforms.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade standards during shipping and receiving processes.
- Assist with inventory management tasks including stock counting, cycle counts, and updating inventory databases to ensure accuracy.
- Support warehouse operations by stocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve order discrepancies or shipping issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations with familiarity in shipping logistics, order fulfillment, and inventory management software.
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts safely in a busy warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software, and Microsoft Office tools for data entry and reporting.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately.
- Experience with order picking & packing, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and load & unload procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments involved in logistics operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
