Our clients are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Math Teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging mathematics instruction across various grade levels and curricula. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and supporting students in developing strong mathematical skills. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education, a comprehensive understanding of mathematical concepts, and the ability to inspire learners of diverse backgrounds.
Client’s Summary of Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design best practices.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction in subjects such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, discrete math, and differential equations.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, standardized assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create an inclusive and respectful environment conducive to learning.
- Support students through tutoring sessions, academic advising, and mentoring to promote their academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
- Incorporate research-based teaching techniques and adapt lessons for students with special education needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to mathematics education, educational research, and classroom management.
Client’s Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree - required
- PA Teaching Certification - preferred
- Prior experience teaching mathematics at the secondary or higher education level is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to design curriculum and instructional materials tailored to diverse student populations.
