Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately during retail sales transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and balancing at shift end.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with menu item information.
- Upsell items and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities.
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and assist with merchandising efforts to keep the store inviting and well-organized.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering for orders.
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies and participating in periodic stock counts.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers alike.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately under pressure.
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
