Performs intermediate semi-skilled work in animal care and cleaning of premises in animal control operations; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Animal Control Supervisor.
** WEEKEND WORK IS ESSENTIAL IN THIS POSITION **
High School Diploma or its equivalent, with no required experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of small animal care and behavior.

Knowledge of how diseases and contaminants spread and how to contain an outbreak of illness.

Knowledge of cleaning agents and chemicals.

Skill in handling animals; skill in cleaning and general custodial duties.

Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with the public.

Ability to read, comprehend and follow written instructions
