About the Role
TULSA, OK Resident: We are seeking an experienced Exhibit Installer / Finish Carpenter in Tulsa, OK for an upcoming installation at a newly built museum in Tulsa, OK. The engagement runs from the week of July 7th through mid-September, with potential follow-up work in October through December. This is a 1099 contract position, and no employment agreement with Downtown Fabworks is implied or extended.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safe handling, transport, and placement of finished custom display components including platforms, pedestals, and cabinetry
- Final assembly and installation of fabricated elements, including anchoring to floors and walls
- Touch-ups, site modifications, and fine finish carpentry as needed
- Careful, detail-oriented work in a museum environment — treating all pieces and surroundings with appropriate care
- Some heavy lifting required
Knowledge & Skills
A strong candidate will have experience in one or more of the following: museum installation or art handling, exhibit fabrication, fine finish carpentry or cabinetry, or trade show / experiential install work.
Salary: $25-$30
Physical Job Requirements
This position requires extended periods of kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and the ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
