- Driller
Candidates must have up to 2 year of experience in geotechnical (test borings), environmental drilling, pavement and wall core drilling. Must be thoroughly experienced and knowledgeable of the entire operation of drilling and test boring (e.g.) using drill rods, catheads, augers, split spoons, auto-hammers, etc…Universal operates truck, track and tripod drill rigs and Geoprobes.
Drillers must have full knowledge of all drilling method’s, such as: Mud Rotary, Hollow Stem Auger, Core Drilling, Continuous Sampling, Pavement/ Wall Coring and other. Driller candidate will be required to drill a test hole to demonstrate experience and knowledge at interview.
Driller’s Assistant(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to: operation support, sample management, rod/ spoon handling, maintaining equipment/ rigs, cleaning of equipment/ rigs, setting up/ breaking down, loading/ unloading of trucks, supply inventory checks, picking up items at supply warehouse, pavement core drilling, etc…GREAT OPPORTUNITY! Must be able to pick up, up to 70lbs frequently and work in outside weather
Must have clean and valid Driver’s License, CDL a plus. Drug test may apply
