Busy Outpatient Surgical facility (ASC) with excellent benefit package, no call, no holidays and no weekends. Join our dynamic Surgery Center as a Certified Surgical Technologist, where you will play a vital role in supporting the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care. Your expertise will ensure that operating rooms are prepared and equipped with the necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining the surgical field and assisting the surgeon. Responsibilities
- Prepare for surgery by setting up the surgical field, ensuring proper instruments are available and sterile.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies efficiently and accurately
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques to prevent infection and uphold safety standards throughout all surgical activities
- Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and notify appropriate personnel when reordering is necessary
- Assist with patient positioning and draping to ensure optimal access for the surgical team while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Support post-operative cleanup, sterilization of instruments, and proper disposal of contaminated materials following established protocols
Skills
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program (NBSTSA) is required
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, sterilization techniques, and infection control practices
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team quickly
- Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and sterility
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or emergency situations as they arise
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient privacy regulations (HIPAA compliance)
- Experience in cardiac/vascular procedures desired, but not required

Pay: $22.00 - $42.00 per hour
