Job Title: Quality Engineering
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)
Location: Waterloo, IA 50703
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) – Overtime Possible
Key Responsibilities
· Provide quality planning, control, and continuous improvement support for manufacturing and operations teams.
· Support production through containment activities, inspections, quality procedures, and process monitoring.
· Monitor and report quality KPIs to operations teams and management.
· Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
· Utilize quality tools to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
· Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply management, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
· Participate in product development and manufacturing engineering activities.
· Conduct inspections and evaluate engineering work for compliance with quality standards.
· Assist in developing engineering specifications, quality standards, and process improvements.
· Support project execution and cross-functional quality initiatives.
· Drive root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
· Maintain compliance with quality systems, industry standards, and company procedures.

Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, Construction, or related discipline).
· Minimum 1 year of quality or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (internships excluded).
· Experience applying quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, GD&T, Root Cause Analysis, Control Plans, MSA, and Capability Studies.
· Comfortable supporting production, investigating quality issues, and driving corrective actions.
· Strong analytical mindset with experience using quality metrics and statistical analysis.
· Experience leading cross-functional quality improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
· Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Minitab is a strong plus.
· ASQ certifications (CQE, CSSGB, CSSBB) are preferred.
