Duties Description Kingsboro Psychiatric Center (KPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited hospital, is recruiting a Psychiatrist 3 to provide clinical and administrative oversight of medical staff assigned to outpatient clinics. Outpatient clinics are located in Canarsie, East Flatbush, and Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY.
As the Psychiatrist 3, you will be responsible for ensuring outpatient clinical standards align with the clinical mission of patient-centered care at KPC including:
- Providing clinical and administrative supervision to eight (8) medical staff including psychiatrists, psychologists, and medical specialists.
- Coordinating with other outpatient services, including residences, to achieve comprehensive and collaborative patient care.
- Attending and participating in clinical team meetings.
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments including diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, and counseling.
- Participating in policy development and collaborating to ensure policy adherence at three clinics.
- Overseeing the quality of treatment services provided by medical staff and ensuring compliance with federal, state, Joint Commission, and OMH standards.
- Collecting and analyzing data related to outpatient services.
- Working collaboratively to increase outpatient treatment offerings and outpatient census.

KPC, located in Brooklyn, New York, is a community-based mental health facility providing inpatient and outpatient services. KPC delivers person-centered care for young adults through geriatric individuals with multifaceted needs, including complex and co-occurring psychiatric and medical histories, significant substance use, trauma, and forensic histories. KPC delivers comprehensive, integrated services to hospitalized patients and operates three Transitional Living Residences; an 80-bed Family Care Program with certified homes in the community; a satellite clinic on campus; and two community-based outpatient clinics located in the Canarsie and Williamsburg neighborhoods. The clinics provide assessment and treatment planning; health screening and referrals; discharge planning; verbal therapies; medication therapy; medication education; symptoms management; psychiatric rehabilitation readiness determination; case management; crisis management; clinical support; mobile outreach; and family support services.
