Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and reduce wait times, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Handle cashier duties accurately by processing payments through POS systems, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Maintain organized guest flow by managing waitlists and communicating wait times effectively via phone or in-person.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about reservations, hours, and special events.
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the cashier area while adhering to hospitality and guest relations best practices.
- Support guest services by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns courteously, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles is highly preferred, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Proven ability to operate POS systems efficiently while maintaining accuracy in transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and cashier duties simultaneously.
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments enhances guest relations capabilities.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately.
