Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Packaging and Visualization Designer to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing compelling packaging concepts and creating high-quality visualizations that bring product ideas to life. Your expertise in 3D modeling, digital design, and graphic visualization will drive the development of innovative packaging solutions and product presentations. IN A NUTSHELL: We are a small business who is looking for an experienced designer who can help us design and render future products and work with our manufacturers during the process. We can hire full time under w2 or as a 1099 contractor. This person must own their own seat of their preferred design software regardless. This job will start off in person but could potentially become hybrid/remote.
Duties
- Develop detailed packaging designs for new/potential product packaging/ labeling using CAD software
- Create realistic 3D visualizations and renderings with tools such as like KeyShot, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Conduct design research and generate sketches to explore innovative packaging ideas aligned with brand identity and product requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product development, engineering teams, and marketing to ensure packaging designs meet technical specifications and aesthetic standards.
- Develop prototypes through fabrication or digital prototyping techniques to test form, fit, and function of packaging concepts.
- Utilize design thinking methodologies to solve complex packaging challenges while considering sustainability, manufacturability, and user experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in packaging design, product development, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Skilled in digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and the Adobe Creative Suite for graphic visualization.
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling for product design and prototype development processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials science, and fabrication methods related to packaging production.
- Ability to apply design thinking principles to develop innovative solutions that balance form with function.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across teams.
