KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for rubber manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate production priorities based on customer demand, lead times, labor availability, and machine capacity.
- Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans as needed to minimize downtime and late orders.
- Work closely with operations leadership to balance throughput, inventory, and service levels.
- Purchase raw materials, packaging, and production-related supplies to support operational requirements.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Track supplier lead times, delivery performance, and material shortages.
- Assist with inventory analysis, cycle counts, and material accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain accurate planning, purchasing, and inventory data within ERP/MRP systems.
- Generate and analyze reports related to inventory, production schedules, shortages, and supplier performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes and inventory control.
- Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, customer service, and suppliers to ensure alignment on priorities.
- Support problem-solving efforts related to material shortages, schedule changes, and production constraints.
- Participate in operations meetings and assist with capacity and demand planning activities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred 10+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, purchasing, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in rubber manufacturing or related industrial manufacturing environment preferred.
- Understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management principles.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred but not required based on experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with production scheduling in a make-to-order or mixed-mode manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of raw material planning and supplier coordination.
- Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail and process discipline.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods (up to 80% of shift).
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Work performed in both office and manufacturing settings.
- Exposure to high noise levels, non-climate-controlled areas, and non-toxic fumes at times.
- Compensation $60,000 - $80,000
